So far I discovered that it is a useful tool for “subtle” event marketing.

I know that Linkedin is an effective networking tool, but the downside is that it is
time consuming. I am even considering doing Linkedin training. I already bought a book by Jason McDonald.

This is a not-so-elegant but fully functional way of being able to post content on as many pages as you want.

when you create your menu, use categories as menu items.
Here is an article that gives away it all. You only have to remember to choose the category corresponding to the menu name each time.
